1. Dashain ko Masu Cheura/Chiura/Baji – दशैंको मासु चिउरा: This super tasty goat meat with beaten (flattened) rice is everyone’s favorite during the Dashain festival and and all year round. Whether it’s for lunch, dinner or to impress your guests, this is your recipe!  It is considered one of the most premier meat dish during Dashain and is very popular among Nepalese due to its unique taste and Masala flavor.

2. “Matured Cucumber Pickle” (पाकेको काक्रोको अचार, aka Khalpi खल्पी) recipe, a delicious Dashain and Tihar festival recipe.

This fermented cucumber pickle is especially made during Dashain and Tihar festivals. It’s easy to make from readily available ingredients at home. Believed to help with the digestion and cooling down your body. It can be stored in an airtight container for months. Goes well with Nepali lunch and dinner dishes such as Dal (lentils) and Bhat (rice).
