What is Dashain Hindu festival?
It is the biggest festival in Nepal. Also known as Navratri, Dashera, Navaratri. All businesses and schools are closed during this time. School kids get a month-long vacation during this time. Parents buy new pair of cloths, gifts and try to get together with relatives and old parents for Pujas and exchange of blessings. Dashain festival reminds us that the evil may be strong at a time but the truth, hard work and honesty will always prevail.
