Today I’ll be showing you how I make delicious Potato & Cauliflower Curry also called “Aloo /Alu Kauli Ko Tarkari” in Nepali at home. It is one of the most favorites curry dish recipes of all Nepali. Here are the ingredients:-
- Cauliflower: 310 gm
- Tomato: half cup
- Potato:Peeled, washed and sliced: half cup
- Julienne cut Onion: 1 small or half cup
- Chopped Cilantro (fresh coriander): half cup
- Chopped Green Onion: 3 pieces
- Julienne cut Green Chilly (medium spicy): 3 pieces
- Mustard Oil: 4and half tablespoons
- Ginger Garlic Paste: 1 and half tablespoons
- Cumin Seeds: quarter teaspoon
- Fenugreek Seeds: half teaspoon
- Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder: 1 teaspoon. (if it is not available use red chilli paste)
- Cumin and Coriander Powder: 1 and half teaspoon
- Garam Masala: quarter teaspoon
- Himalayan Salt: 1 teaspoon
- Water: All together half cup
- Turmeric Powder: half teaspoon

- Asparagus ‘kurilo’: 1 pound or 455 gm

Masyaura (Maseura /Masaura / Masyura/ Masyoura, Sun-dried Vegetable Balls) is one of the most popular food from Nepal. This was one of my favorite dish growing up. Every time my mom made Masaura Curry, it reminded me of eating meat but it’s actually 100% vegetarian ingredient… plus super delicious. It is hard to find any Nepali who doesn’t know and like Maseura curry.
Maseura can be compared to Nutrella or Nutri-nuggets from soybean. Maseura is full of Proteins, Carbohydrate and Vitamins
This is our another attempt to introduce you to
another authentic and rare Nepali Recipe.Today I’ll be making another wildly popular Nepali Dish Maseura (मस्यौराको तरकारीको) Maseura/ Masyaura or Sun-dried Vegetable Balls Curry.
Here are the Ingredients for Delicious Maseura / Masaura / Masyeura Curry (Sun-dried Vegetable Balls Curry)
- Maseura (Sun dried vegetable balls): 100 grams
- Potato: 200 grams
- Julienne cut Onion: 1/2 cup or 1 medium size
- Chopped Tomato: 1/2 cup or one large
- Water for gravy: as desired (1 cup here)
- Fresh Coriander chopped: 4 tablespoons or half of a small bunch
- Stem parts of Green Onion aka Scallions: 4 tablespoons
- Vegetable oil: 5 tablespoons for frying maseura and 2 and 1/2 tablespoons for cooking curry
- Freshly Minced Ginger: 1/2 tablespoon
- Freshly Minced Garlic: 1/2 tablespoon
- Green Chilies: 2
- Kashmiri Red Chili Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin and Coriander Powder: 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric Powder: 1/4 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds: 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt: per taste (1/2 tablespoons here)
स्वादिस्ट चिल्ली मशरुम बनाउने उत्क्रिस्ट तरिका | Chilli Mushroom Recipe Nepali | Chyau / chau Curry
We all love mushrooms but there are very few mushroom recipes that are as good and delicious like the Chili (Chilli) Mushroom. Mushrooms are full of vitamins and minerals like antioxidants, copper, niacin, potassium, phosphorous, vitamin C and iron.
If you like spicy food, this is your recipe. This can be your quick snack or eat as a dry curry that goes very well with the rice and lentils “dal ra bhat दाल-भात ” or with beaten rice “chiura चिउरा .” Chilli Mushroom is easy to make and it’s a quick recipe… sure to please your family and friends.
Ingredients for Nepali Chili Mushroom:
- White Mushroom: 220 gm. It’s without the stem, washed and cut it into half.
- Onion (chopped): ½ cup
- Spring Onion (chopped): ½ cup
- Large Green Chili: 5 pieces (cut it into half and then deseeded to minimize it’s hotness)
- Vegetable Oil: 3 and 1/2 tablespoons
- Salt:1 teaspoon. I’m using Himalayan Salt today because it tastes better
- Lemon Juice: 1 teaspoon
- Ketchup: 1 tablespoon
- Garlic (chopped or grated) 8 pcs or 3 tablespoons
- Turmeric Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
- Kashmiri Red Chili Powder: 1 and 1/2 teaspoons. You can substitute with red chili paste.
- Cumin and Coriander Powder: 1 teaspoon
- Cumin Seed: 1/2 teaspoon

What is the best Nepali winter dish? Answer may vary but for most Nepali, it is Rayo ko Saag (mustard green curry) and dhindo/ dhido (wheat pudding) or bhat (rice). It is wildly popular, super healthy, nutritious and very easy to make. I am simply demoing how to make authentic Nepali Duku Wala Rayo ko Saag.
